Stylishly and creatively designed, Amafu Forest Lodge has a warm and relaxing ambience, truly capturing the African spirit. Each cottage is named after various “Cycad” species which are surrounded by magnificently designed gardens.

These exquisuite, age-old plants are show-cased in our beautiful rock gardens, tastefully landscaped by a professional cycad expert.

Amafu is nestled up on the foothills of the Mariepskop Mountains. The sheer krantzes of these mountains act as a backdrop to our seven spacious, private units and two luxurious, intimate tented camps- which make for a perfect honeymoon getaway.

Our units are fully serviced daily by our friendly, professional staff. We also offer a magnificent restaurant and Al-fresco bar as well as an infinity pool and boma overlooking the endless bushveld. Amafu is situated 25 km’s outside Hoedspruit and within a short driving distance of Eastgate Airport as well as the area’s splendours such as the Kruger National Park and the Blyde River Canyon.

Amafu Forest Lodge

Nestled on the foothills of the Mariepskop Mountains in the Blyde River Canyon area and 25 km outside of Hoedspruit, Amafu Forest Lodge offers a rim-flow pool and restaurant.
The lodge offers well-appointed cottages and tented accommodation. Each comes with kitchen facilities, seating area and private bathroom. Guests can enjoy mountain and garden view from the room.

Amafu Forest Lodge has an alfresco bar and the restaurant serves local cuisine. Guests can relax by the fire at the Boma. Barbecues can be organised.

Activities in the surrounding areas include mountain biking, hiking and river rafting on the Blyde River. The Moholoholo Animal Rehabilitation Centre is 5 km away.
