Hotel Description
Located in the Eastern Cape province of South Africa, Cradock is an historical town in the valley of the Great Fish River, approximately 250kms from Port Elizabeth. As one of the province’s main centres for the wool industry, Cradock is also known for its dairy and fruit farming. A major economic development for Cradock was the creation of the Orange to Fish River Tunnel. Completed in 1975, water is diverted from the Gariep Dam on the Orange River to the Great Fish River, then on to the Addo Valley. This river diversion has made the annual Fish River Canoe Marathon possible attracting hundreds of paddlers from across the country every year.
